India against Kuwait in the final
The final of the SAFF Championship 2023 was played between defending champions India and Kuwait at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium, Bengaluru where India won 5-4 in the penalty shootout. The first goal of the match was scored by Shabib Al Khaldi in the first 14 minutes of the game. Lallianzuala Chhangte scored in the 38th minute and make the score level. The match ended in a draw with scores 1-1 and the match was taken to a penalty shootout for the result.
